LUNCH:        Will be provided at the training PRESENTERS:    Monique Anderson, Assistant Director, Office of Research Administration                         Takeia Bradley, Assistant Director, Office of Research Administration Description:  Departmental Administrators play a crucial role in the administration of federal contracts from proposal preparation to closeout.  This workshop will focus on the different aspects of successful administration of federal contracts, including responding to a Request for Proposal (RFP), decoding contract terms (including the Federal Acquisition Regulation aka FAR), understanding reporting requirements, and the roles and responsibilities of the different individuals/offices involved in managing contracts.  Other topics of discussion will include compliance areas such as COI, OCI, IRB, export control, property reporting and subrecipient monitoring.  Case studies will be used to provide hands-on opportunities for learning.
