Timothy Lee, a senior in the department of aerospace engineering, has been presented the Col. J. Logan Schutz Leader of the Year Award. This award recognizes the most influential "leader among leaders" of the University of Maryland as determined by Maryland's Omicron Delta Kappa chapter.

Each year, Sigma Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa selects one of its members as "Col. J. Logan Schutz Omicron Delta Kappa Leader of the Year." This person competes first on a regional basis and then nationally for the very prestigious award of ODK "National Leader of the Year." The University of Maryland is very honored to have had three of our members selected as the "ODK National Leader of the Year" -Marc Solomon in 1994, Hillary Cherry in 1997, and Adam Chepenik in 2003. In 2004, with the help of a generous donation from Col. J. Logan Schutz, the Leader of the Year Award was renamed in his honor.

Tim will be graduating in May 2007, is enrolled in the aerospace honors programs, and earlier this year received the Spirit of Maryland award from the campus.
