Mark Tischler (AE), BS'78, MS'79, has received the AIAA Aerospace Software Engineering Award which is presented for outstanding technical and/or management contributions to aeronautical or astronautical software engineering. Tischler is a Senior Scientist and Flight Control Group Leader at NASA Ames.

Mike Griffin (AE), Ph.D.'77, received the Goddard Astronautics Award. This award, named to honor Robert H.
